The newly built "to huus" in Buchholz in der Nordheide in the south of Hamburg, a total of 77 rental apartments was created. The 2- to 5-room apartments with living spaces ranging from ca. 52 m² to 168 m² are spread around two quiet, beautifully designed courtyards inmidst the countryside.

The heart of the complex is the modern cogeneration unit that ensures sustainable power generation. Via a panel in each apartment, the inhabitants can control heating and warm water to their individual needs and only take what they really need.
